Below are some things to consider before installing
solar panels on your Northwest Florida home

Do you own your home? If you are renting your home, or live in a mobile home, your home would not be a good candidate for solar energy. But, all households can reduce energy bills by weatherization and energy efficiency measures.

How old is your roof? Compass Solar Energy will assess your roof condition, but if it is close to warranty age, you might want to consider re-roofing first before installing solar panels in Northwest Florida.

Do you have much shade? If your roof faces south, west or southwest with little or no shade, it is ideal for solar energy. If your roof is shaded, consider cutting down a tree or two to start turning your roof into the ideal site for clean, renewable energy.

Can you use tax credits? Do you pay Federal taxes?  If so, you can receive a 30% Federal Tax Credit.  See http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f5695.pdf for the IRS form.
